This week, Japanese and American students participated together. It was nice to see how students helped each other over the language barrier. That’s the YBS way!! YBS Summer program took a field trip to Yokouska city council today!

This week, we have been learning about politics, and this experience was very precious for us!! A city councilman, Mr.Tanaka showed us the council hall and meeting hall as a special occasion! Thank you very much for this wonderful opportunity! Some students presented their idea to make Yokosuka better!! Learning and understanding about politics is not easy for young children…But meeting and interacting with a councilman, also seeing, touching, and feeling the real atmosphere of council was very precious experience. Hope this trip opened up children’s curiosity about politics! YBS children learn though real experience!!

Today was the last school day of YBS elementary’s first school year!

A year ago, we started YBS elementary with big dream and hopes. After a year, we see all the students growth in many ways. Some students are now confident to communicate in Japanese. Some students improved Math skill a lot. Some became very confident in themselves. With lots of excitements, smiles, and sometimes tears, we all learnt a lot through a year. We are so proud of each students hard work!! And we will continue to challenge to create the best education and environment for students!!! YBS elementary is holding open house tomorrow, 14th July, Saturday. Please join us and get all the information about our education! YBS elementary took a field trip to a water sewage plant center of Yokosuka city!

As social study and science class, we have been learning about water cycle and importance of water with “save the water” spirits! It was really nice to see the real facility and learn through real experience today. ” we should appreciate the facility and people who works to clean the water” ” we should save more water!” Each comments from our students were very precious and it means a lot to our education and society. Hope today’s experience made a difference in each student’s mind and growth in the future!

YBS Sports day!!

We had a blast with YBS preschool families and elementary families today! Even though it was a very hot day, each students and families enjoyed all the match with lots of excitements and smiles! Sharing fun time together, experiencing excitements together!
